For one more year Titan America’s cement plants have received the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Energy Star certification, having met strict energy efficiency performance levels set by the agency.
Both Titan America plants have been honored consistently year after year by the EPA for this achievement. For Pennsuco in Florida it is the 15th year running that it has secured this accolade and for Roanoke in Virginia is the 16th, reflecting a legacy of continued energy savings. The continuous improvement of energy efficiency across TITAN’s operations is an important lever in the Group’s decarbonization roadmap towards a net zero future.
Energy Star certification signifies that the plants perform in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency. On average, compared to their peers, Energy Star-certified plants use 35 percent less energy and emit 35 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
